Archivarius 3000

Such a specialized software application is Archivarius 3000. This application has been designed with one simple goal in mind: to help you locate the file you are looking for. In this regard Archivarius 3000 will search the hard disk, will search removable drives, and will search the network to locate the file you are looking for. The application will even look within archives to locate that darn file.

The installation process of Archivarius 3000 completes fast and the program can be run from any version of the Windows operating system, including XP and Windows 7.

The application works by creating an index of all the documents in a selected location. It must be mentioned that the whole process of creating the index takes very little time. Then, once the index has been created, you can use Archivarius 3000 to search for documents. Searching with Archivarius 3000 is, as you can imagine, quite fast. Using the program is simplified due to the intuitive interface that features some big graphical buttons. Running the sofware for the first time will display a step by step wizard that allows anyone to easily index desired files and folders.

After searching for a file or certain file types, clicking on one of found items will display a preview of it in the right part of the interface. For example, clicking on a found image file will bring up a thumbnail of it. Files and folders can be searched using various attributes, like file name, text contained, modified date and so on.
